Request for waiver of the immunity of Jana Nagyová

Parliament decided to waive the immunity of Jana Nagyová, a Czech MEP, so that criminal proceedings against her can continue. The request came from the High Court in Prague over alleged subsidy fraud and damage to the EU's financial interests. Parliament found no evidence that the proceedings aim to harm her political activity. The decision will be forwarded to the Czech authorities and to Nagyová.

Request for waiver of the immunity of Mariusz Kamiński

Parliament decided to waive the immunity of Mariusz Kamiński, a Member of the European Parliament, in connection with criminal proceedings in Poland. The alleged offences relate to his participation in Sejm sessions despite a ban on holding public office, which occurred before he became an MEP. Parliament found no evidence that the proceedings aim to undermine his political activity, and it will forward the decision to the Polish authorities and to Kamiński.
