1. Air passenger rights

   Parliament approved the joint text on air passenger rights, updating rules on compensation and assistance for denied boarding, cancellation, or long delay of flights. The adopted law maintains the existing three-hour delay threshold and compensation amounts, and introduces new rights such as free hand baggage in price displays and free seating for children under 14. It also requires airlines to inform passengers digitally of their compensation rights and to provide free boarding passes, while creating a Union Air Passenger Rights Label.

2. EU-USA-Iceland-Norway Air Transport Agreement, and EU-Iceland-Norway Ancillary Agreement on the application of the Air Transport Agreement

   Parliament gave its consent to the EU's conclusion of an air transport agreement with the United States, Iceland and Norway, and to an ancillary agreement on its application. The agreement liberalises market access, capacity, pricing and routes between the EU and US aviation markets, and includes social and environmental provisions. It has been provisionally applied since 2007 and has brought economic benefits, with transatlantic passenger numbers reaching a record high.

3. Air passenger rights

   Parliament adopted its position on the law updating EU rules on compensation and assistance for air passengers when flights are delayed, cancelled, or boarding is denied. The position aims to preserve existing passenger rights, simplify claims, and extend the rules to more flights, while capping airline costs for hotel stays in extraordinary circumstances. It also strengthens protections for passengers with disabilities and children, and codifies court rulings to increase legal certainty.

4. Conclusion of an agreement between the European Union and the government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on certain aspects of air services

   The agreement updates bilateral air services deals between Bangladesh and seven EU member states, removing references to the UK after its withdrawal. Parliament gave its consent, allowing any EU airline to fly between Bangladesh and the seven member states where traffic rights permit. The agreement includes standard EU clauses on aviation safety, fuel taxation, and competition rules.

5. Implementation of the Single European Sky (recast)

   The regulation updates the Single European Sky framework to make air navigation services and network management contribute to climate neutrality. Parliament approved the Council's position, meaning the act is adopted and will be signed into law. It also approves a joint statement inviting the Commission to propose a new budget line for administrative support of the Performance Review Board.
