1. Transport: enforcement of passenger rights in the Union

Parliament adopted its position on the law, which sets out its stance for negotiations with the Council before any law is final. Parliament calls on the Commission to refer the matter to it again if the Commission replaces, substantially amends or intends to substantially amend its proposal.

2. Air passenger rights

   ✦ AI Parliament approved the joint text on air passenger rights, updating rules on compensation and assistance for denied boarding, cancellation, or long delay of flights. The adopted law maintains the existing three-hour delay threshold and compensation amounts, and introduces new rights such as free hand baggage in price displays and free seating for children under 14. It also requires airlines to inform passengers digitally of their compensation rights and to provide free boarding passes, while creating a Union Air Passenger Rights Label.

3. Air passenger rights
