Mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers: application EGF/2026/002 ES/Galicia automotive ancillary – Spain
Parliament approved the release of money from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers, following an application from Spain for workers made redundant in the automotive ancillary industry in Galicia. Mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers: application EGF/2026/003 FI/Valmet Automotive – Finland
Parliament considered a proposal to release money from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers, following an application from Finland after job losses at Valmet Automotive and five subcontractors and suppliers. Parliament agreed with the Commission that the conditions in the fund's rules are met and that Finland is entitled to a financial contribution of EUR 410 310, which is 60% of the total cost of EUR 683 850. The money covers personalised services such as job-seeking training, job and career coaching, vocational training, occupational safety and competence cards, language training, start-up grants, and incentives and allowances, plus preparatory, management, information and publicity, control and reporting activities. Parliament approved the budget decision, meaning the support can go ahead.

Request for the waiver of the immunity of Matteo Ricci
Parliament considered a request from the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Pesaro in Italy to waive the immunity of MEP Matteo Ricci, elected in Italy, in connection with criminal proceedings concerning alleged offences committed while he was Mayor of Pesaro. Parliament decided to waive Matteo Ricci's immunity, meaning the Italian authorities can proceed with the request, which concerns the seizure, reading and possible use of correspondence between him and a collaborator. Parliament instructed its President to forward the decision immediately to the competent authority of Italy and to Matteo Ricci.
