  1. Mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers: application EGF/2026/002 ES/Galicia automotive ancillary – Spain

Parliament approved the release of money from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers, following an application from Spain for workers made redundant in the automotive ancillary industry in Galicia. The decision means Spain is entitled to a financial contribution of EUR 2 725 100, which represents 85 % of the total cost of EUR 3 206 000, to support the reintegration in the labour market of 400 targeted beneficiaries. The money is to be transferred from the EGF reserve to the EGF budget line, and the Employment and Social Affairs Committee and the Committee on Regional Development are associated with the process.

  1. Objection under Rule 114(3) · delegated act

Amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2429 as regards origin labelling for fruit and vegetables originating in the non-self-governing territory of Western Sahara

The Commission proposed a delegated regulation on origin labelling for fruit and vegetables from Western Sahara, a non-self-governing territory distinct from Morocco. Parliament rejected the objection to this measure, so the Commission's regulation will go ahead. The resolution had objected that the labelling could mislead consumers about the true origin, contrary to EU food information rules.
