Trajectory to decrease the contribution of high indirect land-use change-risk biofuels, bioliquids and biomass fuels to renewable energy targets

The European Parliament voted to block a Commission delegated regulation that would have added soybean to the list of high indirect land-use change-risk feedstocks, phasing out soy-based biodiesel from EU renewable energy targets by 2030. The objection passed, meaning the Commission measure is blocked and cannot enter into force. Parliament does not object to the palm oil phase-down or to fixing the certification procedure, and asks the Commission to revise the act accordingly.

Mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers: application EGF/2025/005 AT/KTM - Austria
