financing of the annual action plan in favour of the United Republic of Tanzania for 2026Parliament objected to the Commission's plan to finance the 2026 annual action plan for Tanzania, blocking the measure. MEPs argued the draft decision exceeds the Commission's implementing powers and is inconsistent with EU law. They also said the plan fails to address Parliament's earlier concerns about human rights and accountability in Tanzania. Parliament called on the Commission to withdraw the draft and submit a new one that protects basic services, human rights, democracy and civil society.
