Parliament voted on the Council's position on the draft general budget of the European Union for the financial year 2027, covering all sections of the budget. Parliament approved the budget decision, so the budget position is adopted. In its resolution, Parliament restores the cuts the Council proposed to programme lines and special instruments, and calls for the Ukraine Support Loan Instrument to be fully mobilised. Its committees also ask for more funding for humanitarian aid, the neighbourhoods and external action under Heading 6.
Before the final vote, MEPs decided on 95 amendments (95 rejected) and 37 parts of the text voted on separately (8 adopted, 29 rejected).
