Justification

In light of the recent US Supreme Court ruling, the EU–US deal lacks a legal basis, and no legally sound alternative has been presented by the US administration. At the same time, new investigations under Section 301 signal the risk of further unilateral tariffs, while threats by President Trump against Spain further undermine trust. The current Section 122 tariffs are already under challenge by 24 US states, and their future level remains unclear. Given this instability and unpredictability, the EP should reject reopening negotiations and vote against the proposed regulations.
