Strongly condemns the persistent threat of physical violence targeting the Jewish community, noting that such attacks predominantly take place in public spaces by perpetrators unknown to the victims; notes with deep concern the findings of the 2024 FRA report entitled ‘Jewish People’s Experiences and Perceptions of Antisemitism’, which reveal the severe ideological dimensions of physical violence against Jewish individuals; highlights the fact that among victims of antisemitic physical attacks, around 50 % reported that the perpetrators held Islamist extremist views, while 22 % identified left-wing extremist views and 17 % identified right-wing extremist views; calls on the Member States and the Commission to acknowledge these specific ideological roots and to tailor their security, prevention and counter-radicalisation strategies accordingly; |
