Motion for a resolution
Paragraph 3 a (new)
| Motion for a resolution | Amendment |
| 3a. Recalls that the issue of European women’s security, including in public spaces, must be at the heart of the new Gender Equality Strategy; emphasises that continued migration from radical Islamic countries to Europe risks importing fundamentalist Sharia laws, thus undermining women’s rights in Europe; stresses that the mass influx of young male migrants, who are over-represented in cases of sexual violence, directly undermines the safety of women in Europe; calls on Member States to implement readmission measures with third countries and to expel foreigners who are guilty of sexual violence; calls on the Commission to include this concern in the new Gender Equality Strategy; |
