PROPOSAL FOR A EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT DECISION

– having regard to Rules 242 and 243 of its Rules of Procedure,

– having regard to the report of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs (A100000/2026),(A10-0064/2026),

1. Decides to amend its Rules of Procedure as shown below;

– Parliament either has the power to decide, on its own or by common accord with other institutions, on the appointment, or is requested to give its consent to the appointment.

1a. The committee responsible shall consider the proposed appointments in accordance with implementing provisions laid down by the Conference of Presidents.

The rapporteur declares under his exclusive responsibility that he did not include in his report input from interest representatives falling within the scope of the Interinstitutional Agreement on a mandatory transparency register, or from representatives of public authorities of third countries, including their diplomatic missions and embassies, to be listed in this Annex pursuant to Article 8 of Annex I to the Rules of Procedure.
