EU–Seychelles Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement (2026–2030): Implementing Protocol

A decision the Council takes on its own. Depending on the Treaty article, Parliament either gives its consent — accepting or rejecting the text without amending it — or is consulted and gives an opinion.

Where it stands: In committee: PECH (Fisheries) is preparing the report (draft published 19 October 2026).

  1. ✓ Referred to committee 17 September 2026
  2. 2 Committee work PECH (Fisheries) preparing the report
  3. 3 Tabled for plenary
  4. 4 Plenary vote
  5. 5 Adopted by the Council
How a file moves through Parliament

A file is referred to one lead committee (others may give an opinion). Its rapporteur writes a draft report, committee members table amendments, and the committee votes to adopt the report. The report is then tabled for all MEPs; political groups can table further amendments, which are voted on before the final vote in plenary. The Council takes the final decision, and the act is published in the Official Journal.
