Calls for the EU and the Member States to impose targeted sanctions, as well as an EU-wide visa ban, on representatives of the regime and its enablers responsible for politically motivated arrests, prosecutions and violence against the democratic opposition, dissidents, protesters and journalists; | 7. Considers initiatives regarding individual restrictive measures or sanctions to be a tool of unjustified foreign interference and political pressure; calls for the EU and the Member States to prioritise constructive dialogue and mutual respect over unilateral actions that lead to increased polarisation and harm the long-term relationship between the EU and Georgia; |
