5a. Notes that during 2021-2024 the EU supported Tanzania with EUR 107 million to improve governance, and that during this period, EU Member States’ bilateral support to Tanzania was approximately EUR 1.2 billion, also including the promotion of governance; believes that financial support in the field of democracy and good governance has not led to any serious improvement of the situation in Tanzania; calls, therefore, on the Commission to rethink its strategy;
