Al. whereas the right to freedom of religion and belief, as well as the right to an adequate standard of living, the right to work and fair wages, and the right to education are fundamental human rights and must be protected from violence and persecution; whereas for these rights to be realised, EU multinationals must cease their plundering of the DRC and of African resources and the EU must put an end to its privileged relationship with Rwanda as long as Rwanda continues to violate the sovereignty of the DRC;

Strongly condemns the targeted terrorist attacks carried out by the ADF against Christian communities in the eastern DRC, including killings, abductions and the destruction of religious property, and calls for an immediate halt to such acts of violence; expresses its solidarity with the families of the victims and with Christian communities;
