Justification
Metal furniture interior fittings must be included to ensure CBAM’s environmental integrity. Due to high transportability and global competition, they are highly exposed to carbon leakage. Exclusion would undermine EU climate goals and incentivise relocation to low-carbon-cost jurisdictions.
