DRAFT EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION

on the draft Council decision on the conclusion of the Advanced Framework Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Chile, of the other part

The European Parliament,

– having regard to the draft Council decision (00000/2023),

– having regard to draft Advanced Framework Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Chile, of the other part (00000/2023),

– having regard to the Joint Statement on the Provisions on Trade and Sustainable Development contained in the Advanced Framework Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Chile, of the other part, which is attached to the Advanced Framework Agreement,

– having regard to the request for consent submitted by the Council in accordance with Article 91(1), Article 100(2), Article 207, Article 212 and Article 218(6), second subparagraph, point (a)(iii) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (C90000/2023),

– having regard to its non-legislative resolution of ... on the draft decision,

– having regard to Rule 105(1) and (4), and Rule 114(7) of its Rules of Procedure,

– having regard to the recommendation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on International Trade (A90000/2023),

1. Gives its consent to the conclusion of the agreement;

2. Instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Government and Parliament of the Republic of Chile.
