Amendment 13

Motion for a resolution

Recital F b (new)

Motion for a resolutionAmendment
Fb. whereas women receive proportionately less support from the two pillars of the common agricultural policy (CAP) than men, at least at the level of farm leadership and management; whereas this is owing to the fact that women tend to manage smaller farm businesses, own less land and have less access to formal and specialised education1a; whereas women face more obstacles than men in accessing land, as the ‘from father to son’ model remains widespread in rural areas; whereas the smaller size of female-run farms on average, as well as the generally more environmentally focused and diversified models of production that they engage in, also hinder their access to bank loans1b; whereas nevertheless, these characteristics make their farms more resilient to climatic and market variations and make it easier to hand over farm ownership;

Motion for a resolution

Paragraph 10 b (new)

Motion for a resolutionAmendment
