	35a. Urges that the proposed directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on improving and enforcing working conditions of trainees and combating regular employment relationships disguised as traineeships, be as ambitious as possible; calls for the scope of this directive to be broad enough to ensure that the rights of trainees, particularly those relating to remuneration and the possibility of terminating the traineeship without prejudice in the event of a breach of fundamental rights, can be fully defended by this directive; hopes that the negotiations will be concluded as quickly as possible.

	35b. emphasises that vocational training programmes, particularly those aimed at young people, must explicitly include compulsory, high-quality, regular and paid training in occupational health and safety, with a view to preventing workplace accidents, occupational diseases and deaths at work, including in high-risk sectors; recalls that all training must be tailored to the specific tasks carried out and the inherent risks of each sector, and delivered in a language and format that is understandable to all workers, including those in subcontracting chains, temporary agency workers and migrant workers; reiterates that training must under no circumstances be used to relieve employers of their responsibility, as they remain fully responsible for health and safety in the workplace through preventive measures, adequate staffing levels, good work organisation and compliance with health and safety at work regulations

Highlights that young people are disproportionately affected by the housing crisis, which limits their access to affordable and quality housing; underlines that this negatively impacts their employment opportunities, mobility and social inclusion; calls on the Commission and the Member States to support affordable and sustainable housing solutions for young people, including students, and stresses that housing should be one of the key pillars of the post-2027 EUYS;	36. Highlights that young people are disproportionately affected by the housing crisis, which limits their access to affordable and quality housing; underlines that this negatively impacts their employment opportunities, mobility and social inclusion; calls on the Commission and the Member States to support affordable and sustainable housing solutions for young people, including students, and stresses that housing should be one of the key pillars of the post-2027 EUYS; ; calls on the Commission and the Member States to implement measures designed, in particular through the ESF, to guarantee the right to decent, affordable and high-quality housing for all, particularly for vulnerable people and young people, notably through the development of social and public housing, rent control, the prevention of evictions and the fight against homelessness.

Considers that imposing a ‘digital age requirement’ for access to social media will not protect young people from the many risks they face online; believes, on the contrary, that – as the Australian example shows – this measure will drive them towards less regulated digital spaces where they will be even more vulnerable; points out, in addition, that this measure will oblige all social media users, both minors and adults, to have their identity verified online, creating significant risks in terms of security and the protection of personal data;
