Stresses the importance of full transparency in the evaluation of contracts and grant agreements concluded with non-governmental organisations (NGOs); notes with concern the lack of transparency regarding the role and identity of independent experts involved in the assessment of such funding applications; calls on the Commission to significantly strengthen the transparency of the expert evaluation process and to consider appropriate mechanisms aimed at increasing the accountability of experts, while fully respecting their independence; |
