Calls on the Member States to invest in a care economy and to implement the Council recommendations65 on the revision of the Barcelona targets on early childhood education and care and on access to affordable high-quality long-term care under the EU care strategy, and to include in their implementation reports the identification of good practices, gaps and progress mapping, together with strategies to encourage greater participation of men in the care sector, and to address undeclared care work, identifying the main drivers and proposing tailored solutions; calls on the Commission to ensure that the European Child Guarantee has clear objectives and priorities, with the allocation of an ambitious dedicated budget of EUR 20 billion, and encourages the Commission and the Member States to ensure affordable, high-quality and accessible care services for early childhood care and eldercare; | 56.
