	AGa. whereas according to the European Environment Agency report of 2018 entitled ‘Unequal exposure and unequal impacts’, people experiencing poverty are more likely to live in substandard and energy-inefficient housing located in polluted or environmentally degraded areas, resulting in higher exposure to environmental hazards; whereas this disproportionately affects certain population groups facing structural discrimination, including Roma and Traveller populations, as well as low-paid workers such as cleaning workers, thereby reinforcing health and social inequalities;

Calls on the Commission to include in its anti-poverty strategy an environmental justice agenda that could lead to an environmental justice strategy; calls, furthermore, on the Commission to work on environment-related indicators and data, including on exposure to environmental hazards and on safe, adequate and habitable housing conditions, to enrich the anti-poverty strategy, and to include environmental health considerations, notably those linked to unhealthy or polluted housing conditions, in its efforts to combat poverty;
