41a. Encourages the EIB to expand its investment scope to include the renovation and revitalisation of housing in small villages and historic towns located in remote and inland areas of the EU, as a means to promote territorial cohesion, combat depopulation, and preserve cultural heritage; calls on the EIB to develop specific financial instruments for these interventions, ensuring that they are accessible to small municipalities and local actors; invites the EIB and the Commission to explore the introduction of financial support for enterprises participating in such renovation projects, in order to attract investment and stimulate local economic development in these disadvantaged areas.
