PROPOSAL FOR A EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT DECISION
– having regard to Rule 135 of its Rules of Procedure,

A. whereas the term of office of the current Executive Director of the European Banking Authority ended on 30 March 2026;

B. whereas, on 21 July 2026, the Board of Supervisors of the European Banking Authority, following an open selection procedure, proposed to appoint Thomas GstaedtnerGstädtner as Executive Director for a term of office of five years, in accordance with Article 51(2) and (3) of Regulation (EU) No 1093/2010;
