PROPOSAL FOR A EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT DECISION

– having regard to Rule 135 of its Rules of Procedure,

– having regard to the report of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (A100000/2026),(A10-0008/2026),

A. whereas Article 26(3) of Council Regulation (EU) No 1024/2013 provides that the European Central Bank (ECB) is to submit to Parliament its proposal for the appointment of the Vice-Chair of its Supervisory Board for approval;

EN

1. [Approves / Declines to approve]Approves the appointment of Frank Elderson as Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board of the European Central Bank [, and asks for the proposal to be withdrawn and for a new one to be submitted];Bank;

2. Instructs its President to forward this decision to the Council, the Commission, the European Central Bank, and the governments of the Member States.

EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

ANNEX: DECLARATION OF INPUT

The rapporteur declares under her exclusive responsibility that she did not include in her report input from interest representatives falling within the scope of the Interinstitutional Agreement on a mandatory transparency register, or from representatives of public authorities of third countries, including their diplomatic missions and embassies, to be listed in this Annex pursuant to Article 8 of Annex I to the Rules of Procedure.
