Reason: The Commission will not provide a formal reply to the resolution because the calls on the Commission in the European Parliament Resolution have been comprehensively addressed in plenary by Commissioner KADIS’s intervention on 18 May 2026.
The Commission thanks the European Parliament for the valuable contributions to this important report, which is particularly relevant in the context of the preparations for a legislative proposal for an Ocean Act, based on a revision of the Maritime Spatial Planning Directive, as well as the upcoming Vision 2040 for fisheries and aquaculture.
