Follow up to the European Parliament legislative resolution on the proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the European Maritime Safety Agency and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1406/2002

6. Commission's position: Whilst the Commission reserves its position until the opening of interinstitutional negotiations, it does however welcome the strong support in Parliament for the proposal. Nevertheless, the Commission does have some concerns over amendments that would limit the oversight of the Agency by the Commission on human resources and budgetary matters.
